In the third quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Turkey displayed diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter. Starting at approximately 31.8K downloads in late June, downloads fell to around 13.5K by the end of September. The app’s weekly active users also showed a downward trend, decreasing from 37.7K to about 32.2K within the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads. The app started with around 14.4K downloads in late June, peaked at 17.6K in mid-August, and then dropped to about 10K by the end of September. The number of weekly active users showed an upward trend, increasing from 26.2K to 44.6K over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride exhibited a steady increase in weekly downloads. Starting at 6.3K downloads in late June, the app reached approximately 8K to 9K downloads per week by the end of September. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 224K and 264K throughout the quarter.

Travel Friend - Carpooling - R had modest weekly download numbers. Downloads ranged from 2.9K to 6.7K, with a noticeable dip in late August before slightly recovering in September.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, which hovered around 2K to 2.9K throughout the quarter. The app’s weekly active users showed a gradual increase, rising from 14.8K to around 18K by the end of September.
